Duck Chang's

A lovely family owned restaurant serving authentic Peking Duck and other Chinese dishes. Clean and elegant dining room that accommodates about 35-50 people. The food is very high quality based on our family meal, and the staff are friendly, respectful, and helpful to any special requests. I will be a repeat customer.

UPDATE- 1/29/25- I went again last night and still reminds me of my childhood in the 80s hands down the best Chinese food around ! Peter and his family are awesome hosts as always! The original and the best Peking Duck since 1978! Dont listen to the copycats at PG! I used to come here in the '80s with my family and we recently came back and it was like nothing had changed the food was spectacular as always! Peter was great and still provides the same family recipes from his father "Duck". I love the fact that I can take my kids to where I used to enjoy the best Chinese food when I was their age and get to see them enjoy it as well!

We didn’t know that this place was established in 1975, going 50 years strong! Beijing duck was authentic with its extra crispy and perfectly seasoned skin. General Tso’s chicken was also crispy and juicy, one of the best in DMV. Definitely worth a try and I will be back!

Family run business here, I always drive by this place since I was a kid but it was first time entering it in 20+ years of living in the area. Went for my brother's birthday and family Lunar New Year celebration and enjoyed the experience. Small space but doesn't feel cramp or overcrowded, the service is nice and the workers are extremely friendly and helpful, also funny. Food was great, ordered Peking duck, lo mein, chicken, beef and broccoli, just multiple options for the family. Honestly can't go wrong, think the soup might just be bland, but I prefer savory items. Will definitely come visit again in the future, disappointed I haven't been here before!

I stopped by Duck Chang’s on my way home. My first time eating at Duck Chang’s and it was great! I was craving roast duck but they don’t have it. The owner was gracious enough to cut the Peking duck the way I liked. They were so friendly from the moment I walked in, sat down, ate, and had a nice conversation. I got a half Peking duck, Chinese broccoli, and Cha Dumplings! It was all seasoned and cooked perfectly! It’s a small restaurant but very large personality for enjoying good quality food and company! Highly recommend and will return!

We came on a Saturday morning to try it out and were surprised it wasn’t busy at all. We ordered the dragon phoenix soup to start and it was good. I love the crispies they give you with the soup. The half Peking duck was delicious. Went great with the sauce and leek pancake. The pan fried noodle was delicious. The crispy noodle tasted better than the ones I’ve had at other places. Service was very friendly and attentive.

The Peking duck here is one of the best in the area. The duck is prepared perfectly, with crispy skin, moist meat. The pancakes are warm and fresh. The garlic onion could have more spicy flavor but fresh nonetheless. The sauce is just right. We ordered other dishes as well (snow pea leaf, DC beef, and pan fried seafood gravy noodle dish which were good as well but the duck was definitely the best.

I come here whenever I’m craving duck or fried noodles. Their fried noodles have a particular noodle I haven’t seen anywhere else. It’s delicious and the sauce is perfect. The half Peking duck is good too. Service is friendly and attentive. Nice small family restaurant. Plenty of parking although there is construction so it’s tricky to get in and out.
